Background of Angel Wishes |
In Its daily work, the St. Louis Life Science Community is applying science to make the world a better place. Angel Wishes was founded as an extension of this vision, with the hope of making the world a better place for children coming from disadvantaged households in the St. louis area. It is also the Life Science Community's way of saying "thanks"
to the St. louis area for the substantial resources it has dedicated
to support the Life Science Industry here. |

Program History |
| Angel Wishes was founded in 2000 as
a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization by Coretech Holdings, LLC, a member
of the St. Louis Life Sciences community. In Its first three years
of operatlon, Angel Wishes helped fulfill the wishes and dreams of
more than 1,000 disadvantaged children. Using funds raised through
golf tournaments and personal donations, the charity worked with the
local police departments and city councils In a select community,
hosting a holiday party and distributing gifts to local families in
need. Meanwhile, the Life Sciences Community in St. Louis has been growing, thanks in great part to the extensive resources the region was devoting to the industry's needs. By 2004, the Life Sciences Community was ready to start giving back, in appreciation for the support it has received and in ackknowledgement of how important a helping hand can be in helping turn a "wish" into reality. Angel Wishes, as a result, was expanded and redefined as the St. Louis Life Science Community's own charity. |
